Do you sometimes think Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and guys like that just had “something” most people aren’t born with and can’t get?
Well, I’m going to tell you the truth about that. If you think they had something most people don’t have…you’re absolutely right.
Most people don’t have it.
But it isn’t something they were born with.
What they had was something you CAN have.
Burning desire.
That is one of the most important things to have if you want to achieve greatness on the guitar (or anything for that matter).
Combine that with a work ethic and the right training and you’ve got all you need to become a monster guitarist.
Work ethic.
Training.
Desire.
That’s all you need.
Natural talent is mostly a myth. Don’t sell yourself short because you don’t think you have natural talent.
No one lives on natural talent alone.
