What aspect of your playing is mediocre?

Vibrato?

Phrasing?

Rhythm?

Speed?

Something else?

There’s always something we can improve on.

Always.

Identify one thing you need to improve on, and really work on it for a few weeks.

If you have a good strategy and really focus, you can make significant progress – even in a short amount of time.

But you have to identify the area of weakness first.

This is why many guitar players get in a rut and stay there.

They don’t focus on the weaker areas of their playing and therefore don’t progress.

I know it’s painful to admit your vibrato (of whatever) is mediocre, but the first step to recovery from mediocre vibrato is admitting you have a problem.

Yes, it works in guitar playing too 🙂
