This week’s tip is short, but oh so helpful.
Here it is: Practice for “real life” playing.
What does this mean?
Well, if you have any intention of playing in a band, doing solo performances, or anything like that, you need to practice for those times.
Nothing matters if you can’t do it when you perform.
Practice standing up, sitting on a stool, without any music, with the lights down low, with strobe lights, colored lights, with lights blaring in your eyes, walking, running, jumping, etc., etc., etc.
Anything you might encounter or want to do live, you should practice.
Great performers do not simply walk on stage and do what they do.
They rehearse.
So should you.
